Editor’s Comment: LAPV enters new chapter with Spacehouse Ltd

The UK’s leading title for local authority fleet and plant management joins the Spacehouse Ltd portfolio, backed by fresh investment and a renewed commitment to the sector, writes LAPV editor William Eichler.

Big news from the LAPV team this week.

We’re delighted to announce that LAPV magazine and its website have been acquired by Spacehouse Ltd, a subsidiary of the Hemming Group, which has produced LAPV content for the past three decades.

The move brings the specialist title into a portfolio dedicated to the local government sector and its associated markets, alongside Environment Journal and Air Quality News — a natural and strategic home for a publication focused on public sector fleet and plant operations.

Spacehouse Ltd is investing significantly in the continued growth of both the established print title and its digital presence. Readers can expect a refreshed website, while the magazine will continue its quarterly publication schedule — Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

LAPV remains the UK’s leading resource for local authority fleet and plant management, serving a market representing £2bn in annual local authority vehicle and plant spend. Under Spacehouse Ltd’s ownership, that focus and leadership will only strengthen.

Our commitment remains unchanged: to deliver trusted news, analysis and informed comment for fleet and transport managers, plant procurement professionals, waste service leaders and commercial suppliers across the sector. This next phase reinforces LAPV’s position as the go-to digital hub and print publication for the public sector fleet and plant community — and it’s an exciting new chapter for us all.
